Why We’re Sharing Lydia’s Story
We created this website to share Lydia’s story, keep our family and friends updated, and bring greater awareness to Wilms tumor and childhood cancer. We also hope Lydia’s story can help another family recognize that sometimes childhood cancer doesn’t begin with obvious warning signs.
For us, it began with a tummy ache.

We never imagined cancer would become part of Lydia’s story. But cancer does not get to be the whole story. This is a story about a little girl learning what it means to trust God before she could possibly understand how much she would need to.

Lydia has always loved writing letters to her family and friends, often ending her little notes with her name. It’s one of the many ways she shares her big heart with the people around her.
